Scheme: Providing Free Laptops to Meritorious Students from Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Scheduled Caste (SC) Communities — Academic Year 2025–26

Eligibility Criteria-

• The student should be born in the State of Goa, or have at least one parent born in Goa
• The student must belong to ST or SC community.
• The student is required to pass class X examination of Goa Board in first attempt.
• The student has to score at least 70 per cent (aggregate) in class X examination of Goa Board
• The student should be schooling in the taluka in which he/she is considered meritorious.
• In case of a male student, he should feature in the Top 5 among the Class X male (ST/SC) students of the taluka.
• In case of a female student, she should feature in the Top 5 among the Class X female (ST/SC) students of the taluka.

Procedure to apply for scheme

Students fulfilling the eligibility criteria may apply for the scheme by filling the prescribed online application form.

Documents to be submitted with online application

1. Applicant Passport Size Photograph : Latest passport-size photograph of the applicant (JPG/JPEG format, within permitted file size).
2. Photo ID proof of applicant:  Aadhaar card/School ID card etc. (pdf format)
3. SSC Marksheet: SSC Mark Sheet issued by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education for Academic Year 2025–26 (pdf format)
4. Caste Certificate:  An attested copy of the Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority of the Government of Goa. (pdf format)
5. Birth Certificate: Birth Certificate of the applicant, or Birth Certificate of any one parent, issued by the competent authority of the Government of Goa. (pdf format)

6. Parent / Guardian Photo ID:  Photo ID proof of Parent/Guardian displaying signature (e.g. PAN Card, Passport, Driving Licence, etc.) (pdf Format)

         ⚠ Attach the photo ID of the parent or guardian whose name is mentioned on the consent form.

7. Consent Form: Consent of Parent in the prescribed format only (Download Consent Form, fill and attach).

    

    

Procedure for scrutiny

1. Applicants having their applications completed in all respect will only be considered for the scheme.

2. The complete application will be reviewed by the scrutinizing committee of Info Tech Corporation of Goa Ltd. (ITG) for selecting top 5 boys and top 5 girls under the particular criteria.

3. Start and last date for applying for the scheme will be announced by ITG every year.
